Robin Brooks
Robin Brooks moved to Maine in 1987 after completing her M.F.A. (Master of Fine Arts) Robin's journey took a major shift when, after many years of full-time work as an art teacher, she became a mother in March of 1997. Robin Brooks

in Painting at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Her work in painting and mixed media collage is both a personal response to Maine's diverse natural environment and an expression of her personal journey through life. Robin has shown extensively in eastern Maine as well as participating in national exhibitions throughout the
Northeast. Her work is in many private and public collections. She has
taught art in a variety of settings, from public schools in Maine and Rhode
Island to the Newark Museum in Newark, New Jersey. Currently, she teaches
art to children after school and on Saturdays, and participates in a
wonderful summer program for children called "Artsmart". This summer, her
class offerings include Puppets, Masks, and Color and Collage. Robin
believes that learning through art is an essential part of every child's
education.
Both Robin and her husband Jon are thrilled and challenged to be the parents of Benjamin Samuel, now three years old. "Having Ben has shifted my priorities completely. After many years of teaching, I am so grateful to be home full-time with Ben. We are free to explore the world together in so many ways." Family activities include making music together, gardening, and spending time outdoors - at the beach in the summer, and snowshoeing in the winter. Robin is happy to be a part of the Attachments family.
