Cecilia Moen, Author 
I was born in Sweden in 1965 and grew up in several different countries. I spent 3 years in Lima, Peru as a child (that's why a Peruvian woman is in my book) and 8 years in Toronto, Canada. I have lived in Sweden since my teens. When my sister had her first child I became very interested in breastfeeding and by the time I had my own I was very ready to breastfeed! I have always loved books, and as a child I wanted to become an author. But things went differently in my life, and it was first when I saw my daughter and other older children breastfeed that I felt a strong impulse to sit down and try to write about their experiences in a way other children could relate to. All the rhymes in the book are based on the stories from various children, so I do not feel I wrote a book as much as documented what I could see around me. I have received a lot of letters from parents telling me how their children have enjoyed the book, and it feels wonderful to play a part in acknowledging this important part of childhood.
Attachments was pleased and honored to introduce Cecilia's book Breastmilk Makes My Tummy Yummy to US audiences. Now Cecilia's book can be purchased through many fine US companies, but we at Attachments are proud that we were the first! What is wonderful about BMMTY is that it illustrates what life is really like for a busy breastfeeding family, with clarity and honesty, and most importantly humor. Cecilia's book is also available in Dutch as well as German and English. A WIC program in Texas has had the book translated to Spanish and is used for their children's classes.
