about our photos

It never fails, each time I go to a conference someone will tell me they just saw one of my pictures in a slide show during the previous session. I'm always surprised to hear this as I don't make my images available as slides for presentations, unless I have given specific permission. My cards have my copyright mark on them but it seems that people don't understand the implications of using a copyrighted photo for personal use. It's just not ok to use anyone's copyrighted images without asking permission. And you know what, if asked, I almost always say yes!

It's easy to go to a web site and download an image right into your own computer, but that doesn't make it ok. I do liberally give permission to breastfeeding advocacy sites and other information only sites to use my photos, with the stipulation that my (c) be listed and a link back to Attachments if possible.

If you have a retail sales site I don't allow the use of my photos, unless of course you are selling my cards! I don't mean to come off grumpy, but my work is my livelihood, please respect it and ask before you download.

For one woman's opinion on copyright infringement please click here or see the US Patent and Trademark Office.

I have many different images not seen on the site that are available for purchase to promote your site/project/book, just drop us a note and we'll talk.
