I Love My Mommy Because...by Laurel Porter-Gaylord

On each page of this book you will find animals and humans featured with their babies. A simple sentence below the picture states why this certain baby loves their mother. A kitten softly meows to her mother and says "She listens when I talk." On the page with sheep and nursing lamb it says "She feeds me when I'm hungry." Your child will soon realize that all mothers, no matter what species, do basically the same for their young, just in different ways. HB, Breastfeeding

Baby Whales Drink Milk, by Barbara Juster Esbensen

When my oldest daughter was in grade school she brought this book home from a book fair. She was excited to show me that she found a book that talked about human mamas feeding milk to their babies from their bodies as well as great lessons about other mammals, whales in particular who provide milk for their young.

"As they swim along, the mother whale keeps her baby near her with her long flipper. With special muscles, the mother squirts her milk into the calve's mouth. The baby whale begins to drink. Baby whales drink milk."

This is a great little book filled with fun facts and a nice science lesson as well. PB, Breastfeeding
