I can't get enough of Ann Allen's colorful designs. I'm so pleased that Ann has agreed to make these sweet home birth announcement plaques for Attachments. The heart/home design has long been a symbol of home birth for me. My friends and I used to make a block print design with a similar symbol on tee shirts for our friends who had babies born at home. Ann will personalize your plaque to match your baby's birth statistics in her unmistakable funky style. Each plaque measures 7.25" x 7.25" x 3/4" solid poplar. They are protected with
polyurethane, and comes complete with a hanger. The sides are painted so there is no need for framing. Three colors schemes to chose from, blue, fuschia and lavender. Each plaque is made to order and will have it's own original personality, no two designs will be alike. Plaques take 2 - 4 weeks to complete and ship. It is Attachments policy that personalized items are non-returnable. Click the images above to see a close-up of the plaque.

![]() This book by mother and daughter team Anne and Katarina makes a great compliment to the DVD by the same title. Katarina and her five year old brother Magnus watch their baby brother being born and tell about it in this charming and fact-filled book. The book takes on the voice of Katarina but also has an introduction for parents.
![]() I'm really excited about this great DVD that shows home water birth with children present. This is a great tool you can use to get your child(ren) ready to experience the birth of a sibling. This 21 minute movie is about two siblings ages five and seven who are present for their brother's home water birth. Partially told in the voice of seven year old Katarina, this is an excellent resource for expectant parents and birth professionals who are wanting to prepare children for the arrival of a new baby. A paperback book version seen above is also available which is a great accompaniment to watching the video. 21 minutes long.
Buy both book and DVD for $35.00, a savings of $2.50.
![]() This sweet book travels a long way to make it to Attachments bookshelves. I'm happy to be able to offer you this wonderful children's story book from Australia. In this book Chrissy writes from the perspective of a young girl about the beautiful home birth of her brother Jimi Jazz. This book also features breastfeeding, family bed, cloth diapers ( nappies! ), and siblings shown at birth. You're not going to want to miss this rare find.

Each summer day Mollie wakes up and wonders if this will be the day that her new baby brother or sister will be born. It's so hard to wait, almost like waiting for the sun to come up in the morning. Mollie lives on a farm, and her lazy summer days seem to creep by as her dad fixes the tractor, she feeds the chickens and watches the lightning storms in anticipation of the coming event. A beautifully illustrated book combining photographic and painted imagery. HB, Home Birth
![]() All the Places to Love, by Patricia MacLachlan "On the day Eli is born, his grandmother holds him up to the window, so that what he hears first is the wind, and what he sees first are all the places to love: the valley, the river falling down over rocks....." And so goes the story of two children birthed at home, in a place so beautiful that all who come from there will never forget it, no matter where life takes them. A truly moving book that will fill a special place in your library. HB HOME
